The Ford F-550 Chassis Cab is available in XL, XLT, Lariat and Platinum trims, with Regular Cab, SuperCab and Crew Cab configurations available depending on trim and equipment. F-550 Chassis Cab models use a dual-rear-wheel configuration and are available with either 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrains.
Two available engine choices include the 7.3L V8 gas engine and the 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel, giving commercial customers the flexibility to choose a powertrain based on payload, towing and upfit requirements. The F-550 is also offered with multiple wheelbase and cab-to-axle configurations to accommodate a wide range of commercial bodies and equipment. Other standard features include Sync 4, 8″ LCD Capacitive Touchscreen with Swipe Capability, Manually Telescoping/Folding Trailer Tow With Power/Heated Glass with turn signal, Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, and Overhead Console with 6 Upfitter Switches.

The Ford F-550 XLT Chassis Cab adds several standard comfort, convenience and appearance features beyond the base XL trim, making it a strong choice for businesses that want a more driver-friendly work truck without moving into the higher-end Lariat or Platinum models.
Compared with the XL, the F-550 XLT adds upgrades such as chrome exterior trim, power windows and door locks, cruise control, upgraded interior materials and additional driver-convenience features. It keeps the same heavy-duty Chassis Cab capability while giving drivers a more comfortable and better-equipped cab for long workdays, highway driving and daily commercial use.

The Ford F-550 Lariat Chassis Cab adds a more premium level of comfort and technology over the XLT while maintaining the heavy-duty capability and upfit flexibility of the F-550 platform. The Lariat also includes upgraded seating and interior appointments that give the cab a more refined feel.
